My darling husband (!!) asked me, when I told him that I was going start blogging about my life as a newlywed, “So what’s the female word for husbandry?”
Well, dear Andrew, husbandry hasn’t referred to the male household domain for centuries, but there is a handy-dandy word ready to go for the being about the house. Homemaking.
That’s why, readers, when I have some, many of my posts will be categorized into “Homemaking.” After all, with Andrew, Teag and baby cat, we are a family–and families live in homes, even student apartments in the shady part of town. (Feminists, relax. Andrew’s very helpful in the kitchen. And he even let’s me wear shoes. Sometimes.)
My first week as a wife is done, and let me tell you–it’s been fabulous, but so busy I’ve hardly started our thank you notes. More on those TK.
